Update on the incident of 25 February 2022
With regard to the recent concerns regarding images in an RS lesson presentation. The Academy has dismissed the teacher in question, with immediate effect. The Academy is not permitted to discuss names or further details about this case.

Response to incident on Friday 25 February
We are fully aware of a totally inappropriate resource that was used by a teacher during an RS lesson
All Saints Academy recognises the deep hurt and distress that has been caused to the Muslim community, and many other people of faith, by the totally inappropriate images that were used as part of a recent RS lesson. Not only was it offensive to attempt to portray an image of the prophet Muhammad, but the image that was used was that of Osama Bin Laden, a terrorist leader, which further added to the deep insult.
The Academy reiterates its unreserved and sincere apology for the distress this episode has caused. In terms of actions taken, we are happy to share the following information.
Upon learning about this incident from a concerned student, the member of staff was immediately suspended by the Principal pending a detailed and swift investigation which will follow the Academy’s Disciplinary Procedures. It would be against the terms of that procedure either to identify the individual concerned or to comment any further until the final outcome is determined.
Apart from investigating the actual incident, we will also commission a wider review of the circumstances surrounding the case to determine how this individual came to act in such an inappropriate and upsetting way. For purposes of transparency, this review will be conducted by an external person who has no connection with the Academy.
Finally, having now established very useful links with members of the Muslim community in Luton, we would hope to work together to gain a better understanding of religious and cultural matters that impact on all our lives and will help us to be better educators.

Remembrance Day 2021
We held our annual act of remembrance today to remember the sacrifices made for us in war. The whole Academy assembled to watch the falling poppies, on the back of which every student had written a dedication to a loved one. #LestWeForget

GCSE Results 2019
Top grades Achieved at All Saints Academy
All Saints Academy is proud to announce another solid set of GCSE outcomes, with many outstanding success stories amongst the students’ achievements.
Year 11 students have maintained the overall outcomes and standards set by their predecessors, with half of the cohort achieving a standard Level 4 pass, and a fifth of the cohort achieving a strong Level 5 pass, in both English and maths. In light of the significant grade boundary changes that have affected the maths and science qualifications, this is a pleasing achievement and reflects the hard work of students and staff alike.
Our top performing student was Lauren Adkin achieving 11 GCSE grades 9-5 (A** – C equivalents): grade 9 in English, grade 8s in chemistry and religious studies, and grade 7s in maths, physics, history and finance.
Other notable achievements include: Oliwia Baginska, Kacper Markiewicz and Godswill Nnadi who all achieved grade 9s in Languages; Lauren Corr and Rebekah Shore who both achieved a grade 8 in English language; Chelsea Burden who achieved a grade 8 in English literature; and, Jenna Booth who achieved a Distinction* in health and social care.
Students should feel extremely proud of what they have achieved.
Principal, Liz Furber, commented, ‘I am extremely pleased that even with rising grade boundaries the students in Year 11 have managed to secure standard and strong grades in English and maths, providing them with a sound basis on which to continue their educational journey’
David Fraser, Chair of the Governing Body, added, ‘The Governors would like to add their congratulations to all students and staff who have achieved good results. As we consolidate on last year’s results, Governors are once again appreciative of the hard work the Principal and all her staff have undertaken through this vital period of our students’ educational journey.’
Andy O’Rourke, Assistant Principal Key Stage 4, added, ‘It is extremely pleasing to see so many students achieving what they deserve. This cohort has bought into the drive for excellence, they have been fully engaged and have taken on the challenge of aspiring towards the highest targets. I am very proud of their achievements and wish them all a bright and positive future’.

A Level Results 2019
All Saints Academy continues to celebrate further improvements in ‘A’ Level and Vocational qualifications in the 2019 KS5 examinations. We are extremely pleased to share that at least ten students have received a university place for September. Some of our students are also pursuing apprenticeships in a vocational setting, for example in the Health and Leisure setting. Our hope is that the positive example set by these students will serve as an inspiration to our students in Key Stage 4 showing that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
Kyle Lynch achieved ‘A’ level grades of BBC and now plans to study journalism at university. Amber James achieved an A grade in Psychology and D* D in BTEC Sport and has been offered a place at Nottingham University to study Nursing.
Simon Miller, the Assistant Principal for the Sixth Form, commented, ‘The results that have been achieved at KS5 are excellent and show that the Academy is moving in the right direction and achieving strong academic success. This is an exciting time to be at the school and as the Sixth Form continues to grow and develop, we hope to have more students applying to the Sixth Form and raise aspirations for the whole school.’
Liz Furber, Principal, commented, ‘These great results are vindication of the hard work of students and staff. They further reinforce the latest Ofsted judgement of Good for our 16-19 provision. Well done all!’
