The traditional sale of poppies took place in late October and November leading to Armistice Day on Friday 11th and Remembrance Sunday on 12th November.
The VI form also raised £65.43 with a cake sale to add to the Poppy Appeal. Student cadets were well-involved at ceremonies in both Dunstable and Houghton Regis.
Many student families have links with the armed services and it is a poignant time of year for us all in which to reflect on the generosity of those who have given much in the search for peace and justice.

Target sports featured in activities for Sport Relief on 23 March when students were offered the opportunity of throwing wet sponges at some of the Academy staff for 20p a sponge. Mr Roberts took a direct shot to the head while Mr Barnard, Ms Lissaman and Fr Coles took their share of hits as well.
Chairman of Governors, Mr Wallace, got in on the act under the watchful supervision of senior students ensuring that everything went with a splash.

On Friday 30th September, we will be supporting the fundraiser MacMillan Coffee Morning and our local charity Kidz In Action. In support of this fundraiser, we will be hosting a cake sale with all of the money being donated to MacMillan and Kidz In Action. The money will help people who are facing cancer and give opportunities to children and young adults with special needs.
Parents are also invited to come and buy cakes and refreshments in the school Cafe during Period 1.
At Break Time and Lunchtime cakes and refreshments will be available for students and staff to purchase.
We will also be selling tickets to create your own cake pop workshop to both students and a staff. The tickets will cost £1.50 to make and decorate your own cake pop.

Students and staff at All Saints Academy have been busy preparing Christmas Shoe boxes for the charity Samaritans Purse. When completed the boxes will be taken to Totternhoe Church and Samaritans Purse will then collect them for delivery to children who are in need at Christmas time.
Many thanks to our parents for their support with this appeal. Last year we made up 30 boxes so we are hoping to make up even more this year. We will be collecting gifts and boxes up until November 4th so if you would like to contribute to this appeal there is still time.
Mrs.K.Webb.

For many years the Diocese of St Albans has organised an event designed to raise both awareness and funds for homeless charities in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Two years ago four staff from All Saints took part on a wet and windy night and on 2nd December this year we returned in force
with four year 11 students leading the way supported by five staff members and one spouse.
The weather was less than ideal.
The rain started at 10pm and carried on until 5.30am, it was accompanied by a gusty wind which tugged at what little shelter we had between the ancient buttresses of the Abbey, blowing drizzle into everything which then pooled on the soft ground underneath us. Despite the conditions, the soggy and exhausted team completed the night in good spirits and raised over £700 (at latest count) for NOAH Enterprise in
Luton. Were we thankful we only had to do it for one night? You bet!
Congratulations especially to Ashleigh Coffill, Natasha Ryan, Ariann Hayden and Shannon Cook for their maturity and generosity towards a really good cause.
